Today, whilst settling back, drinking my coffee, and watching my crazy Meg the cat chase wind around the garden (I know right?) I began to tot up my fayre plans, my crazy amazon book listings I have been doing and delighting at my newfound auction resources and have realised that, hooray, we're back in p'business' I have been irritable and frustrated since Christmas, not enjoying my meagre book keeping and housework, the auctions were empty and full of leftovers, the boot sales full of antique traders and the charity shops expecting big prices, so at last, my itch is now being scratched! At last!!

Today's auction proved eventful, with the purchase of furniture I didn't intend to buy, but couldn't pass on at 'that' price! And then the handover of keys to my new storage unit, a garage amongst others down in town. So at least Mr D can stop complaining for a bit now about the growing amount of 'clutter' (huh!) in the house.

I got this trunk, pictured, which I thought would be great done up. But where to start?

Watch this space, I have a little sanding/painting project to do in the next couple of days and some up cycling of books into stationary so will try and post photos. Until then, I must make way for a black furry purrer in my lap who insists on sitting on my iPad :)

  1. Hi looking forward to the do-up of the trunk, although looks good as it is! Julie xxx

    1. Aw thank you Julie! The trunk is a bit rough, which you can't see in the photo - a hole in the bottom and fibre is coming off at the sides - such a shame, would make such a great coffee table in my lounge! xx

  2. Nice blog<3 would you like to follow each other?

  3. I have nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award... you can read more about it on my blog.
Hope you can accept it. Julie xxx
